Our first, very brief, stop in Zeeland was Burgh-Haamstede. A 13th century castle is the centrepiece of this very small town: Slot Haamstede.
The castle is interesting. It has this completely flat facade on one side, a moat and verdant grounds. I believe it is still in use.

But what is really lovely, lies behind this.

Hi,
I am enjoying your blog so much! The photos are fantastic. It's like I am right there. I will check back as I love travel and reading blogs of people who are traveling and/or making a difference in their own lives and in the world. Great blog.
Candace
